Architecture & Design Film Festival

Tickets are officially on sale for the Architecture and Design Film Festival (ADFF: NY), which returns to the Cinépolis Chelsea in less than one month. Taking place from October 16-21, the tenth season promises a range of interactive experiences, pop up installations, panel discussions and much more for architecture and design enthusiasts to enjoy as part of Archtober.

A curated selection of five thought-provoking panels, on topics ranging from Albert Frey and the Barcelona Pavilion to prison design and retrofitting suburbia, will follow select films throughout the six day long festival. Panelists include Martino Stierli, The Philip Johnson Chief Curator from The Museum of Modern Art, Joel Towers, Executive Dean at Parsons School of Design, and Susan Burton, activist and CNN Hero Award recipient.

Along with panels and a robust schedule of 31 feature-length and short films, multiple floors of the Chelsea theatre will be occupied with ADFF activations. Furniture vignettes from Vitra's Roadshow will be on display in the festival lounge, alongside a Rizzoli pop-up bookstore. Registered architects and designers will have a chance to win an all expense paid, CEU trip to Bologna, Italy with Ceramics of Italy and enjoy a selection of short films from the AIA National Film Challenge, as part of Blueprint for Better, in the barside lounge. On the Mezzanine floor, Sony will host a private theatre with a selection of short films, for attendees to experience their in-home entertainment options.
