Albert de Pineda is one of the leading international experts in healthcare architecture, with experience in different congresses and world meetings about hospital design and engineering. De Pineda studied Architecture at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona (ETSAB) and established Pinearq in 1997.

He has designed and built hospital centres in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Germany, Nicaragua, El Salvador, United Arab Emirates, China, Chile and Panama. Also, he has developed nursing homes, markets, laboratories, libraries, universities and residential complexes.

De Pineda has been a professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) in the Postgraduate Program in Planning and Design of Healthcare Centers, and participates as a teacher in different master programs such as Biocat’s d·health and UPC’s LA(H)B. He is also co-founder of Hospitecnia, an online platform committed to architecture, engineering and management for healthcare spaces.
